REWIND FX

REWIND is a creative agency and digital production studio based in St Albans. They are specialists in virtual reality and the creative production behind unforgettable experiential events.

REWIND were looking for a new location to relocate to as their team had expanded. Our aim was to create a stunning modern office environment complete with a variety of fully furnished workspaces to suit a digital production studio culture.

Some of the major challenges we encountered were that the building was derelict which meant that a careful inspection was required to understand the condition of the property and what requirements were essential to reinstating it. Due to its angular configuration, it required careful consideration to best practice when utilizing the office space available.

We introduced stylish kitchen tea-points on both floors, with the larger first-floor tea-point featuring a breakfast bar complete with break-out furniture and pendant lighting. A full height, LED-backlit feature wall was embedded within the corridor dry-lined wall on the first floor, along with the installation of an oak block wall cladding feature in the reception area, helping to set both spaces apart. To create the feeling of more space, tasteful full height glass partitions embossed with the brand logo were installed to create both the reception and boardroom areas on the first floor. The design was finished with high-end executive style office furniture, supplied to finish the boardroom, and a variety of stylish breakout and standard furniture types including workstations and chairs were supplied to the open plan areas of the office.

Motor Fuel Group

Motor Fuel Group (MFG) is the largest independent forecourt operator in the UK. It has over 900 stations operating under the BP, Shell, Esso, Texaco, JET and Murco fuel brands.

Two breakout spaces were also formed in the new office; the first being a smaller tea-point, which is situated between the main office and reception area. Dark grey kitchen units and a red-tiled splashback feature were installed to form the bulk of the kitchen works, along with a Smeg fridge and Costa coffee drinks machine to finish the space. An Aircon sound attenuation system was then installed to act as a divider, separating the tea-point and breakfast bar feature leading into the main office.

The second kitchen space is positioned at the heart of the office. This space is fronted by a glass partitioned wall, complete with an optically clear, UV printed bespoke design. Stylish, wood-effect flooring was installed to the space, along with new kitchen units, mixed colour furnishings, and an additional Costa drinks zone.

Taste of Sicily

Stud and track partitioning was installed throughout the mezzanine forming a variety of new spaces, including a staff kitchen break-out area, a small product showroom and general office space for the Taste of Sicily team.  The ground floor kitchen break-out area was fitted with new units, stylish mosaic effect splashback tiles, integrated appliances and a breakfast bar feature, whilst the product showroom benefitted from a similar aesthetic treatment.
