CAT A fit-out and office refurbishment project at Futuresource Consulting’s recently acquired St Albans office space. The office was made ready for the relocation of a 60 strong team, including the move management of furnishings and products from their existing office.

CAT A fit-out and office relocation project
Futuresource Consulting Ltd based in St Albans offers bespoke custom research, multi-client subscription services and business intelligence platforms, from product tracking to end user research panels.
SEC Interiors had previously worked with Futuresource on the fit-out of their office facility on Grosvenor Road in St Albans back in 2015. However, due to unforeseen circumstances Futuresource needed to relocate their operation along with 60 employees to their new office based on Beaconsfield Road. They called upon SEC Interiors to help with the office fit-out of this new space, ready for the move-in of their 60 strong team.
To begin, SEC looked to install silicone jointed partitions near the front of the office, creating two private office spaces. The glass was finished with a mid-stripe, frosted manifestation with meeting room furniture also be supplied to the spaces.
In the proposed kitchen area, located in the middle of the office SEC made allowances to lift the existing sub floor, ready for the installation of new, anti-slip vinyl flooring.
The new staff kitchen tea-point was then installed in the space, complete with blackstone worktops, matching laminate splashbacks and light grey units. Integrated appliances were also installed, along with a large breakfast bar feature.
Move management services…
The main bulk of the refurbishment works included the installation of lighting systems throughout the main open plan office area. This included general LED lighting, emergency lighting systems and PIR sensors for energy saving purposes.
A section of stud and board partitions were also installed in the open plan office in order to create a dedicated space for the server room, complete with a finger recognition door lock for security purposes.
SEC also made allowances to carry out move management works, which included the disassembly, removal and re-installation of the company’s existing furniture, interactive whiteboards and associated artwork to the new office. The move took place over a weekend period in out of office hours – minimising day-to-day operational disruption.
This fit-out is the 2nd major refurbishment project that SEC Interiors has worked on with Futuresource Consulting in the space of 2 years, representing the continuation of a highly successful partnership between the two companies. It also showcases how SEC are able to cover every aspect of an interior fit-out project – from start to finish.
