Creation of a stunning entrance space at the company’s Luton HQ
SEC Interiors were once again called upon by Monarch (due to our previous successes with the company) to deliver a complete re-design and refurbishment of the B134 building reception area. The required brief was to present a space that was both modern and striking, combining a variety of features that would leave a lasting impact.
After an extensive design and planning process, SEC began by removing all of the existing frontage and materials in preparation. The first stage saw the installation of a new automated sliding door system and side entrance.
A white faced, steel exposed grid ceiling was then installed, incorporating multiple light fittings including: energy saving LED’s running down the centre ceiling, and ambient lighting at the sides, able to change colour by remote command. The existing wallpaper was stripped, the walls were prepared and then painted with a top coat of emulsion.

A four-screen media wall was also embedded into the right hand wall with removable panels to allow access to the fire alarm system and electrics behind. General electrics and HVAC systems were also installed with all testing completed.
To prepare the floor, plywood and concrete screed were placed ready to receive the stylish new Karndean, Van Gogh vinyl flooring. An independent, silicon glazed partitioned wall with branded manifestations and an opal frost effect was placed behind the reception desk, concealing the office entrances and toilet area behind. To finish, a custom made, winged shape reception desk was installed, with the front and side panels utilising a white gloss laminate, then finalised with Monarch branding.
