A fast and efficient space planning and office refurbishment programme provides Transcend Information UK Ltd with a turnkey solution; a fully-refurbished office suite equipped with modern amenities in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

Transcend Information. Inc. was founded in 1988, and today, Transcend has become a leading global brand of digital storage, multimedia and industrial products with 14 offices worldwide including the UK.

Transcend were looking to move from their existing offices in Hemel Hempstead to a recently acquired, nearby first floor office suite and were in need of a complete space planning and office fit-out service. SEC Interiors was called upon to deliver every aspect of the project, completing the job to a tight timescale.

Space planning was a key component of the project, with the office suite in its original condition representing an open plan shell. In order to maximise the office space, Transcend wanted to incorporate a number of private meeting rooms, whilst also optimising the main open plan area in order to fit in a large number of workstations ready for the move-in of a sizeable yet growing team. In order to maximise the layout of the office SEC looked to install a partitioned compartment wall, allowing for the creation of a number of individual meeting rooms.

The entire office was then refurbished with new flooring, decoration and lighting and electrical works. High specification cantilever office desks with a walnut melamine finish and a white painted base were supplied and installed to the main office zone along with a mixture of full height and standard sized storage cupboards. A kitchen tea-point unit was also installed, complete with integrated appliances to finish.

The resulting works have provided Transcend with a complete turnkey solution in the form of a CAT B office fit-out, ready for Transcend’s specified move-in date.
