We are very proud of our achievements at SEC Storage and across the SEC Group. Here are just a few of our recent success stories!
SEC Group has been announced as the winner of the ‘Data Excellence’ category at the prestigious 2020 Lloyds Bank National Business Awards, which took place during a star-studded online ceremony.
Harry Watts, Managing Director, who accepted the award, commented, “We are truly honoured to have been announced as Winners for the ‘Data Excellence’ category. This is a hugely proud moment for everyone across the Group and in particular for SEC Storage as it demonstrates the dedication and investment we have made in the development and implementation of our bespoke, advanced analytics and simulations tools that deliver innovative, data-driven warehouse solutions to our customers.”
We are delighted and very proud to announce that we have been selected as a finalist for the prestigious CILT UK Awards for Excellence 2021 in the category of Warehouse Operations for the third year running.
The Safety and Health Excellence Awards acknowledge the importance of H&S activity and innovation within four industry sectors. We have been awarded Highly Commended ‘Best Health & Safety Project’ April 2021.
The competition of this project showcased our passion for delivering enhanced safety features that not only made the warehouse a safe environment for a growing workforce, but also delivered on the installation side with efficient storage solutions that would facilitate the business’ growth in the longer term.
2020 has been a challenging year, one where all eyes have been on the logistics and warehousing sector which has had to be both innovative and adaptive to ensure consumer demands could be met in extremely difficult circumstances.
Being part of such a prestigious UK business awards programme and the only winners from our industry sector is a huge achievement and provides us with a unique platform to showcase the benefits of data-driven, intelligent warehouse solutions.
SEC Storage was extremely proud to be chosen as winners at The Logistics Awards in the ‘Logistics Innovation’ category, for its solution at Christie Lites.
Showcasing true innovation, the Christie Lites solution involved the design of a unique multi-channel shuttle system, providing a dramatic increase in volumetric capacity and five-fold rise in the amount of pickable locations.
“SEC prides itself on designing and delivering true innovation to solve often complex operational logistics challenges. To be announced as the winners of this category amongst some of the biggest names in logistics, is a very proud moment and goes some way to highlight our diverse capabilities and the lengths we go to deliver the optimum solution for the customer.”
SEC Storage is once again delighted to be announce as a finalist for the CILT Awards for Excellence 2020 in the category of ‘Warehouse Operations’, for the second year in a row.
The solution designed and installed was reliant on substantial amounts of data analysis to ensure the key benefits included increased efficiency, selectivity and effectiveness through a very safe system. Furthermore, we could demonstrate that with our proposed space utilisation solution, the customer was able to move from two buildings into one facility reducing their overall footprint, yet improving space utilisation and process efficiency which has delivered huge savings for the company.
At the UKWA awards in 2019, Alex-Mae Underwood, Project Manager at SEC Storage, was nominated as a finalist in the ‘Young Employee of the Year’ category. With over 100 nominations being received for this category and just four finalists, Alex-Mae is an esteemed and worthy member of the top 4% of applicants in the UK.
SEC prides itself on attracting and developing young talent into the logistics industry and is particularly proud of the number of extremely high potential young professionals we have within our organisation.
SEC Storage is delighted to be selected as a finalist for the Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2019 in partnership with its customer, the Port of Dover. The award entry under the category of ‘Logistics Innovation’, showcases a high-density drive-in racking system designed to maximise offloading and receiving velocity to ensure the pallet retrieval process was as efficient as possible.
“Through the use of data, digital twinning and comprehensive statistical analysis we could demonstrate the validity of our solution with complete confidence, and deliver a solution which fully met the operational requirements of the Port. This ensures maximum up-time of the solution, ease of repair and replacement, whilst providing the shortest ROI timescales compared to automation.”
